His Holiness Drikung Kabgyon Chetsang Rinpoche
consecrated Vajra Dakini Nunnery
and visited the Sunray Peace Village
September 8 -12, 2010
Fulfilling the mission and vision of Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo, Vajra Dakini Nunnery is the first training monastery in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for western women in North America. It is one of three monasteries for western monastics.
The consecration of the Nunnery Residence, Retreat cabin and White Tara Shrine involved special ceremonies that make them “holy places”, carrying the blessings of the Drikung lineage, and suitable for making offerings and pilgrimage.
Thank you for joining us for this historic occasion and for all the related events. HH Drikung Chetsang Rinpoche, the supreme head of the Drikung lineage, consecrated the nunnery.
