The Indie Fest, an international awards competition based in La Jolla California, just announced that Mutual Abundance Media received two Indie Awards for "PEACE VILLAGE" a documentary filmed of indigenous Elders giving teachings at the Sunray Peace Village:
* Award of Merit: native/ aboriginal peoples;
* Award of Merit: viewer impact/ motivational/ inspirational
To quote the announcement of the latest Indie winners: "The awards go to those filmmakers who produce fresh, standout entertainment and compelling documentaries . . . The Indie Fest . . . honors professionals, established and emerging, who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity. . . " Thomas Baker, Ph.D, who chairs the competition, had this to say about the latest winners, "The Indie Fest is not an easy award to win. The judges were pleased with the exceptionally high quality of entries. The goal of the Indie Fest is to help the winners of this coveted award achieve the recognition and distribution they deserve."
We are deeply grateful for these awards because they will assist to ensure that the beauty, power, courage and messages of our precious Elders will reach many more beings who might otherwise not have access to their guidance, so crucial for these times.
Peace and JOY,
